MuleEx is a cloud-based, full-scale, multi-carrier logistics management platform that aggregates third-party logistics companies (3PLs) and customers. The platform provides web and mobile applications which are designed to address current logistic challenges facing 3PLs and customers.
This Privacy Policy tells you how we collect personal and other information about you, and how such information is used and disclosed by MuleEx Ltd when you access or use our products or services. By using our Products or Services, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal and other information as outlined in this Privacy Policy in compliance with applicable local & foreign privacy laws.

We are committed to protecting your MuleEx account and user information and privacy.
This policy describes how MuleEx will manage your information, including the purposes for which we collect, use, and disclose information. It also, describes the safeguards we use to protect your information when you use the MuleEx web and mobile applications, visit our website www.muleex.com, visit any of our affiliated partners and third-party service providers, or otherwise interact with us.
It reflects our continuing commitment to your information privacy and complies with applicable data privacy legislation.
This policy does not apply to the collection, use, retention, disposal, destruction, and protection of information by organizations outside the MuleEx platform as part of the organization’s records. The MuleEx platform is a tool used by organizations that do not, in any way, alter their obligations or responsibility for collected information.
Our customers are subject to professional requirements and privacy regulations that govern their record-keeping and management of information, regardless of the tools they use to collect, use, disclose, and hold information. As a user, if you have questions about how your organization will treat your information, we kindly advise that you direct such questions to your organization.
By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree that any information that you submit to MuleEx that is not intended and used solely for the provision of logistic tech services is not considered protected information and will only be subject to our privacy policy and any applicable federal or state laws that govern the privacy and security of such information.
You may choose not to use MuleEx services if you prefer that we do not collect, use, or disclose your personal information in the ways identified in this privacy policy.
For clarity, the information you provide to MuleEx when you register and set up your account on the platform, including but not limited to your name, username, email address, and phone number are not considered protected information.

Services - Our website (www.muleex.com), web app, mobile app, and affiliated applications. Customer – For the purposes of this terms if used “Customer” means an individual or organization that engages and pays for services provided via MuleEx platform.
3PL Provider: Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider represents an individual or company that offers logistic services to customers.
User – Refers to a customer or 3PL, including authorized representatives, that use, or register to use, our Services.
You – Refers to the person or entity using the platform or receiving any platform Services. The following definitions apply to this privacy policy.

As 3PL user, your account admin can access your personal information on the MuleEx platform which includes: your name, email address, phone number, gender, date of birth, address, emergency contact information, and other information on your profile, data contained in your employment records, etc.
The 3PL account admins who use this information to maintain or provide logistics Services to internal users and customers must comply with the respective professional requirements and privacy regulations that govern their record-keeping and management of customer information. The 3PL account admins may create additional Information in the MuleEx platform, which they may export or print copies of.
Other Services - MuleEx may expand the services available through the MuleEx platform to include other services that may or may not be logistic services. When we provide these services, we share the information required to consummate the service.
An authorized MuleEx personnel shall be responsible for these services where manual personnel intervention is required. This personnel receives privacy and security training and commits to protecting and respecting User privacy. Furthermore, we deploy internal roles and privilege management to control how MuleEx personnel access user Information. The section on Safeguarding Information contains more details regarding our roles and privileges administration.
Accountability
Our Accountability Commitment We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our customers’ personal information, including information transferred to third-party providers to provide logistics services.
Executive Responsibility Privacy protection is core to the provision of accurate and secure logistics services. Members of our executive team are committed and responsible for overseeing operational compliance with MuleEx’s privacy policies and procedures within their areas of responsibility to ensure that all functional units meet our privacy obligations.
Employee Accountability In keeping with our privacy policy, all our employees must complete privacy and security training before accessing any personal information and undertake annual privacy and security assessments to maintain access to personal information. This process is critical to maintaining customer trust and a culture of privacy at MuleEx.
Our Privacy and Compliance Office The Chief Privacy and Compliance Officer has the responsibility of designing and updating our privacy management program, practices, and policies and evangelizing a culture of strict privacy compliance across the organization with a view to earning and sustaining customers’ trust.
Our privacy management program has at its core the principles of privacy by design, which embeds privacy principles in our product and service development processes.
Consent
General We are committed to protecting your privacy in connection with the use of our services. By accessing or using our services, you expressly consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and storage of your personal Information as detailed in this privacy policy.
You have the right to revoke your consent at any time, subject to our legal or contractual restrictions. Please note that, if you decline to provide certain information for any reason, it may limit your access to certain services, products, and functionalities. Once consent is revoked, a child may not use any Services online.
You also have the right to close your account at any time. If you wish to request that we delete your personal information or close your account, you can do so either from within the app or by contacting the MuleEx support team. Should this be the case, we will delete your personal information or close your account promptly and confirm by email when it is done. We may however retain some information to meet our legal or regulatory obligations. Please refer to our retention practices under the section on 'Retention' below for more information.
Our Policy Toward Children Our products and services are not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. We may, however, collect information about the child (solely as needed to provide the Service) from the child’s parent or legal guardian.

We collect your personal information to set up an account for you on MuleEx to enable you to access and use the MuleEx services, including:
- Consultations with supply chain management experts, virtually or in person
- Purchases from the MuleEx marketplace
- Access offers and promotions

In connection with your access to our site and/or use of our service, we collect and store personal and other information about you. Some of this information can be used on its own or in combination with other information to specifically identify you.

Data Provided by You. We collect your personal data when you, your employer, or your employer’s service providers register to use our products and services. You provide information when you update your account information, add additional services, submit information to verify your identity, contact us with questions or feedback, or otherwise communicate with us. Your personal data may include your name, address, email address, phone number, etc.
Participation in Our Commercial and Market Research Programs. When you choose to participate in our market research program or survey, we collect information from you, including your personal data.
E-mail or Social Network and Other Contacts. Your e-mail, social network, and other contacts (“Contacts”) will be collected when you choose to share them with us or when you choose to refer potential customers to us via our referral programs (the “Referred Leads”).
Public Information. We may collect information about you from public sources, such as public social media pages.
Auto-Collected Information. Information such as your device identifier (if using a mobile device), Internet Protocol (IP) address (if using a browser), operating system, browser type, and the address of a referring site is automatically collected when you access our website or use our products and services or collected through cookies.
Single Sign-On Information. Our Single Sign-On enables you to sign into the Service from another service you use and with which we partner. When you do this, we collect certain information aimed at securing your data by verifying your authorized access to our products and services, your username, the password for the other service, etc.

To Operate and Administer Our Business We may use personal information to enhance and further our business and the business of our affiliated companies, including creating, operating, delivering, maintaining, and improving our content, products, and services. We may monitor, collect, and analyze how our users use our services, including but not limited to the time spent on our Services, pages visited, content viewed, and actions taken to better understand how to serve you better. We may aggregate this data for research and product development purposes to offer new features, functionalities, content, products, and services.
For Our Own Marketing Purposes We leverage marketing to grow our business, scale our community, and provide updates on new products and services, including those offered by affiliated practices either by themselves or in collaboration.
We use your contact information or information about your interactions on our Services to deliver SMS, email, or push notifications to provide you with personalized marketing communications, update you about our products and services, send you promotional offers and ads, provide you with informational content, and deliver targeted marketing to you.
We may send you informative newsletters and e-mails from time to time, some of which may directly promote our Services. You may turn off push notifications or opt out of receiving such newsletters and emails from us (either through your account or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the e-mail you receive).
We will also send you certain transactional and administrative communications regarding the Services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications – e.g., communications regarding updates to our Membership Terms, this Policy, appointment reminders, your medication subscription, your test results, marketplace purchases, programs and events registrations, billing, and renewal information, among others.
For Technical Support Your Personal Information may be required by or accessible to our technical support team to resolve technical issues. Where possible, our support team may resolve issues without viewing your Personal Information. If you speak to MuleEx support, all audio conversations are recorded to monitor and control the quality of our services and for training purposes.
Customer Experience Surveys and Questionnaires We may use your Personal Information and service interaction data to contact you regarding your experiences with the Services. We may invite you to volunteer to participate in surveys or promotional activities or give us feedback.
When you opt to participate, we may follow up and may share the aggregated information with our affiliated practices and third parties to address an issue or concern and to enhance our service offerings.
Website Visits You can visit our website without disclosing any personal information. However, we may collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all our website visitors and other related information such as device type, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and average time spent on our website. We use this information to help us understand our website activity and to monitor and improve our website. We also use your Internet protocol address (IP address) and device type to help ensure a secure experience and detect fraudulent behavior.
Device Information: Account and Network Security Purposes We care about maintaining a safe and secure experience while using our services. To do this effectively, we collect your log-in information and limited technical data related to your devices, just like any other software application.
The device information we collect includes the device attributes like the type of device hardware, operating system, unique device identifier, IP address, browser type and version, language settings, service access time stamps, and any other relevant device identifiers.
We use this information to proactively manage privacy and security risks: combat spam and malware, detect potential fraudulent access, monitor and verify your identity to prevent unauthorized access to your information, and deliver device-appropriate content and push notifications.
To Enforce Compliance with Our Terms, Agreements, or Policies When you consent to this policy and our terms of use and access or use our services, you are bound to this policy and terms. To ensure you continue to comply with them, we process your personal information to actively monitor, investigate, prevent, and mitigate any alleged or actual prohibited, illicit, or illegal activities on our services.
We may also process your personal information to investigate, prevent or mitigate violations related to our terms, agreements, or policies.
Cookies/Tags, etc. We may use and place on your computer or mobile device cookies, tags, and similar software to remember you on your subsequent visits, to analyze how you use the MuleEx platform or app, or to enhance our platform performance and functionality. “cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are interacting with the website.
We may use both session cookies (which expire once you terminate a session) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer, unless you delete them) to offer you more personalized experiences on our platform.
Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not disclose your personal information for any use other reason other than as outlined in this Privacy Policy or as permitted under applicable law unless we obtain your express consent. We commit to disclose only the limited amount of personal information necessary to meet the purposes, at any given time.

Third-Party Service Providers MuleEx may use third-party software and service providers for a variety of services including but not limited to technical, operational, and other business, and marketing services.
To protect your privacy, we require our third-party service providers to limit their use of Information (that you or we provide or allow them to access) to that necessary for the intended services and to maintain data security measures in place that are appropriate for the protection of Information.
Some of our service providers may operate from outside of Nigeria, which implies that some or all of the information they process on our behalf in fulfillment of their services may be subject to the law of the country in which they operate (“Country”) including lawful orders to produce the Information to among others, the government of the country, its law enforcement and other agencies including where applicable national security authorities, and courts.

As May be Permitted by Law or Regulation We are subject to certain laws and regulations which may require us to process and share your Personal Information with third parties when we believe, in our sole discretion, that doing so is necessary:
- In the event of an emergency that threatens the life, health, or security of an individual.
- To comply with applicable law or court order, subpoena, or other legal processes.
- To investigate, prevent, or act regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our terms and conditions, or situations involving threats to our property or the property or physical safety of any person or a third party.

Access, Corrections, and Accuracy of your Personal Information
When you sign up on MuleEx, you can access your profile data and all your Personal Information, including your user records. We expect you will keep your Personal Information up-to-date, complete, and accurate to enable us to better serve you.
You may update or make corrections to your Personal Information at any time, subject to limited exceptions.
Storage and Location of your Personal Information
Your personal information is stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS), London. We may decide to replicate instances of our database across other AWS availability zones for better redundancies or change our primary zone from London to another region as the business evolves.
We may also distribute services across different availability zones to localize them and address throughout.
Some of our service providers may also access, process, and store limited Personal Information from other jurisdictions.
Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as may be required to meet legal or regulatory requirements.
We may also create and retain de-identified information for analytics and continue to use this information in line with this privacy policy.
You may deactivate your account at any time from inside your profile, but we advise you to close pending transactions before deactivating your account. When you deactivate your account, we immediately remove it from public access and archive it for 6 months or longer if required to meet our legal or regulatory obligations before permanently deleting it.
We retain audio recordings of the support services you receive for 90 days only.
Accuracy
The accuracy and completeness of personal information supplied to the platform are the sole responsibility of the Individual or organization. MuleEx does not verify the accuracy of the personal information it receives. MuleEx will take appropriate steps to respect and protect the privacy of the Individual's personal information.
Safeguards
As an organization, we maintain a strict information security program that includes written policies and procedures, and security controls, as well as reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, to protect against unauthorized access, use, loss, modification, and disclosure of personal information in our custody or control.
Our employees must complete privacy and security training before accessing any Personal Information and undertake annual privacy and security assessments to maintain access to personal information.
MuleEx ensures that her security policies, procedures, and controls meet industry and best practices. Our customers MUST also accept to enforce internal privacy and security controls to safeguard their users’ Personal Information.
Some of the security measures we adopt are listed below:
- We apply appropriate administrative, physical, network infrastructure, and technical security controls designed to prevent and detect unauthorized access to personal information.
- We adopt the principles of privacy by design in our work processes.
- We limit access to the data on a need-to-know basis with role-based access control.
- We encrypt data at rest and in transit, tokenization, and de-identification.
- We mandate the secure disposal of media containing personal information.
- We prohibit the use of personal information in non-production and demonstration environments.
- We assess, identify, and mitigate foreseeable risks to the security, integrity, or availability of personal information entrusted to us.
- We regularly test and evaluate our safeguards and overall security program.
For clarity, no internet or email transmission is fully secure or error-free, and no security system is impenetrable. We cannot fully guarantee the confidentiality of any information you provide on the platform, but we must apply every reasonable control to safeguard your personal information.
We also urge you to play your part in protecting and safeguarding your personal information. When the MuleEx app or website contains links to other websites, we advise you to read their privacy policies and make an informed decision before you use their services. MuleEx does not govern the privacy policies of third-party providers.
Incident Management
We have developed a robust incident readiness and response plan to identify the root causes, impact, and scope of an incident involving Individual Information. In the case of a breach, we will inform identified and potential individuals and guide them to take appropriate measures. We may also report to regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to minimize and contain any loss or harm arising from such incidents or mitigate future occurrences.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
MuleEx reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time to reflect current realities. When we do, we will notify you of the changes to our policy.
We will provide update notifications through our website and app. When we plan for significant changes to our privacy policy, we will provide prior notice (including through email notification, if appropriate).
We advise that you periodically review this privacy policy to keep abreast of our privacy practices and contact us if you have questions or concerns.
Managing, Modifying or Reviewing your Privacy Policy
While all data collected by us is stored for legal and regulatory purposes, you can choose to review, modify, delete, or manage your personal data with us through your account or by contacting us at privacy@muleex.com with a request that we delete your personal information from our database, should you require us to delete your account in our server.
Please note that there may be some delay in the deletion of your data from our servers following your request. Again, we may retain some of your data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or as needed for other legitimate business purposes.
